Our Mission
Located in Perry County, OH, PAWS – Perry Animal Welfare Society is a 501(c)3 that was established in 2018. Our mission is to re-home dogs and cats with loving and committed families.
We do not own or operate a shelter. We have an incredible team of volunteers and foster families who temporarily care for the pets we rescue.
Our History
In 2016, a group of concerned citizens saw a need that wasn’t being fulfilled in Perry County, OH, and met with county officials to see how they could best be a resource. After two years of planning, PAWS – Perry Animal Welfare Society was established. The rescue took in the first dog in March 2018.
